Chocolate Film Developer

For nearly a decade I have worked with coffee to develop my films, black and white and colour alike. Before I started drinking Flat whites, lattes and French pressed, there was hot chocolate. One drink that inspired my next experiment, developing black and white film in a Chocolate Developer.

Stockholm Gallery Weekend

One day, as I was laying on the sofa, my friend Molly messaged me to tell me about Stockholm Gallery weekend. As I had been off social media, I hadn’t seen anything about it but quickly booked it off of work before they sorted out the next schedule. Great, I thought, I could finally go immerse myself in some art for a day. So I wanted to share with you my favorite moments from the weekend.

To KonMari One’s Creative Practice

…My brain has been full of questions interrogating my own feelings concerning my creative work and practice. My one plan for October was simply to ‘reflect’ but each question I asked myself produced more. Like the Hallgren post, I wanted to share a little insight into the way I work and research so buckle up because this is a bit of a long post!

Carte de Visite - No 1. Berta Hallgren

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll have seen that in February, I posted about a small photography bundle that I had purchased from a second hand shop in Gamla Stan, Stockholm. My haul consisted of five carte de visite and a Christmas issue of the magazine Femina. Upon scanning, I realised two of the cards I had bought were made by two different women owned photography studios! As it is Women’s History Month, what better way to end it with a dive into the histories of these photographers! When I started researching however, I ended up finding more information than anticipated so have decided to split this up into two parts! I wanted to do this a little different to the biographies and such that I have seen on other blogs, by giving you a look at the way I work.
